Broadchurch: people's verdict

The final farewell

Our Broadchurch ‘final farewell’ event went down a storm with our audience.

We’ve had some lovely feedback, thank you, on Twitter and on Facebook, along with newspaper coverage and a couple of great blogs.

Here’s what Nick Joy had to say in his blog post, Broadchurch: The Final Farewell.

And here’s Maddie Grigg’s take on the evening in her blog, The World from my Window.

The Bridport and Lyme Regis News said: ‘Broadchurch wasn’t essentially about murder, retribution or violent sexual crimes – it was about community. That was writer Chris Chibnall’s message to the audience who were at the Electric Palace to watch the live screening of the final episode on Monday.’

Here’s a link to the full article.

And Somerset Live carried a live blog of the proceedings. You can find that here.

The panel comprised Margery Hookings, former editor of the local paper who now works for the Palace and acted as Q&A host, Julie Hesmondhalgh who played Trish Winterman, writer and creator and Bridport resident Chris Chibnall, executive producer Jane Featherstone, Andrew Buchan, who took the role of Mark Latimer, and Arthur Darvill, who was the Rev Paul Coates.

Here’s a selection of photos of the Q&A panel from James Dawson at ShoutQuietly.com
