At last, Bridport has its own Folk Festival! 3 days of traditional & contemporary folk music playing across the town, shall be intertwined with morris and clog dancing, ceilidhs, and even a world record attempt!
Saturday night welcomes headliner, folk legend, Reg Meuross and Ninebarrow onto the stage at the Electric Palace.
Festival Patron Reg’s clever and imaginative lyrics have earned him the title of “Master Storyteller” (PennyBlack Music) and led Mike Harding to introduce him onto the stage of The Royal Albert Hall as “one of the finest singer-songwriters this country has produced”. He brings to the stage a collection of extremely beautiful songs, performed with humour and depth.
Ninebarrow are a multi-award-winning folk duo, who are impressing audiences across the country with their innovative and captivating take on the folk tradition. Most recently, they were nominated in the 2017 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in the ‘Horizon’ category for Best Emerging Artist; their latest album ‘Releasing the Leaves’ was awarded five stars in both Maverick Magazine and English Folk Dance and Song Society Magazine.

The Bridport Folk Festival is raising funds for the RNLI.
“Ninebarrow are another example of how strong British folk music is at the moment.”
