There are three performances of this wonderful show. At 6pm on Friday 13 September we have our first ever pyjama performance, followed by shows at 11am and 2pm on Saturday 14 September.
Are you ready for shoes made of bread… shoes that can make you dance… feather shoes that tickle your feet until you can’t stop laughing? The Elves and The Shoemaker is here with puppets, music, comedy and tonnes of bonkers shoes!
Sam Lacey makes shoes that are out of this world. His imagination is huge but his shoe-making business is a disaster! Why would anyone buy a pair of Banana Skin slippers or spend money on shoes for a spider?! Even his neighbour Belinda can’t get him to see sense.
Then, one night, two tiny green visitors climb into his kitchen and start stitching and cutting and snipping and gluing…Sam Lacey is about to get the surprise of a lifetime!
This hilarious re-telling of the much-loved classic tale from the inescapably inventive Stuff and Nonsense is a total delight for all the family, full of wit, charm and surprising puppetry.
Our Friday evening show will be a very special Pyjama Performance. Dress up in your favourite pyjamas, your snuggliest dressing gown and settle down with a glass of milk or hot chocolate and a cookie or two from our bar to enjoy a fantastic puppet-show… it’s a bedtime story like never before!
Resident Company at The Lyric Theatre in Bridport, Stuff and Nonsense are delighted to perform for the first time at the Electric Palace. The Elves and the Shoemaker follows recent sell-out shows The Gingerbread Man, Puppet Panto and The Enormous Turnip.
Suitable for all the family, from age 3 and up.
There will be a new trailer soon for the brand new restaging of The Elves and the Shoemaker. In the meantime, take a look at this trailer for the previous version of the show:
“They’ve done it again - delivering a simple tale, enchantingly told. Director Niki McCretton ensures the production bowls along at a sufficiently cracking pace to keep the audience enthralled throughout this accessible and hugely entertaining show.”
“It was brilliant! My daughter - 4 years old - was red in the face from laughing so hard and I have never seen her so excited and so enthusiastic! I laughed out loud too! It was truly fun for the whole family, not just the kids!”
“A wonderful gem that will appeal to children and adults alike.”
