The Comic Strip Presents was the nucleus of three comedy duos: The Outer Limits, featuring Peter Richardson and Nigel Planer; Twentieth Century Coyote, featuring Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson; and French & Saunders (Dawn & Jennifer) plus Alexei Sayle, who often hosted alongside Keith Allen and Robbie Coltrane. The team would go on to make 42 individual films under the banner of ‘The Comic Strip Presents’ (1982 till 2016) with Founder and Series Producer Peter Richardson.

The Hunt for Tony Blair
In 60s style black and white, Prime Minister Tony Blair (Stephen Mangan) goes on the run to prove his innocence. With the net closing in he hides out with another famous Prime Minister, Margret Thatcher (Jennifer Saunders). Also starring Robbie Coltrane, Harry Enfield, Rik Mayall and Nigel Planer, it was nominated for BAFTA and British Comedy awards.
