A message from Bridport Literary Festival –
We’re very sorry but the event with Jeremy Bowen on Saturday 12 November cannot now go ahead because the BBC has insisted that Jeremy should remain in Ukraine because the war there is escalating.
His publisher has assured us that he will come to Bridport and talk about his book once he is free of his responsibilities in Ukraine, after Christmas. Your ticket will be valid for this event.
We know you will be disappointed, but we can only hope that Jeremy stays safe and well until we see him.
When we have a new date for the event, we will be back in touch with ticket holders.

In conversation with Barney White-Spunner.
Jeremy Bowen is the BBC’s Middle East Editor and, since 1989, has reported from around the world covering thirteen wars including Afghanistan, Lebanon, Chechnya, Assad’s Syria and Netanyahu’s Israel. Based on his acclaimed podcast, his new book takes us a journey through the Middle East and explores the power games that have wreaked devastation on civilians as their leaders jostle for political, religious
and economic control. Bowen explains the complex past and troubled present of a region that at times seems ungovernable.
